Digital Dreamers Challenge

THEME: SHIPS

I created this art piece with elements and background from the two kits that Foxy Squirrel (Teddi Rutschman) designed for Patti Koosed! Both kits have a large array of exquisite elements and backgrounds to keep your creative juices flowing with the prospect of the delightful digital art you will soon be creating for yourself or someone else! !

I also got to sample Patti's new Word Design Digital Kit that is the perfect companion to both of the kits!

You can purchase all 3 of these beautiful kits at Patti's Etsy Store: HERE

Look for Foxy Squirrel's Mythology Digital Kit and Love Digital Kit and while you are there, check out Patti's beautiful Digital Whisper Designs that she has for sale!!

Or  you can visit Digital Dreamers's Challenge Blog and there you will find the kits displayed on the right sidebar! Click on either badge to be sent directly to Patti's Etsy Store!

BEST FRIENDS

The Digital Whisper's Theme
for this week's
Digital Dreamers Challenge
is
 Best Friends

I dedicate this digital art piece and poem to my best friend, Patti Koosed!
Love you, Sister!!!!

“When I was a child, an angel came to say,
A true friend is coming, my warrior to sweep you away,
It won’t be easy the path because it leads through hell,
But if you’re faithful, it will be the greatest story to tell,
You will move God’s daughters to a place of hope,
Your story will teach everyone there is nothing they can’t cope,
You will suffer a lot, but not one tear will you waste,
Because for all that you do for me, you will be graced,

I am bringing you someone that wants to travel your trail,
Someone you already met when you passed through heaven’s veil,
A warrior, a friend that whispers your heart’s song,
Someone that will run with you and pull your spirit along,
Don’t you see the timing was true friendship's fated throw,
Because I put you both there to help one another grow,

I am the writer of all great stories, your chapters were written by me,
You suffered, you cried because I needed you to see,
That your faith in my ending goes far beyond two,
It was going to change more hearts than both of you knew,

So hush. my child. and wait for my loving hand,
The last chapter is not written and still in the sand,
It is up to you to finish, before the tide washes it away,
All that is in your heart, I’ve put there for you to say,
This is not about winning, loss, or pain,
Together your spirits will never fade,
Because two kindred spirits is what I made you to be,
A true friendship for life because of-- ME.”

Digital Whisper Challenge

Telephone Booth

Patti gave us another fun challenge this week that reminded me of so much of the streets of London where there is a shiny, red phone booth on every corner!!  So thinking of England,  I began gathering my images together to start working on my entry.

I started working and soon the words to a familiar tune began to go through my head! Oh, what was it? I knew it was about outer space and came from the movie,  The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty but couldn't quite remember who sang the song... was it The Beatles...maybe another rock group? I looked up the soundtrack and of course, it was the song, Ground Control To Major Tom!

Now my question is...how did my mind go from Phone Booth to London to Aviator Hat to David Bowie To Major Tom? Like daydreaming, I guess, looking through kits and images takes me from one memory to another which quickly feeds my wild imagination and takes me to another world waiting to be explored!!!!

This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do
Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles
I'm feeling very still.
                                     ...David Bowie

Happy New Year!!!!

At Digital Whisper,
Patti Koosed is hosting a new
Digital Dreamers Challenge and the Theme is:
"HAPPY NEW YEAR"!

Join us at http://digitalwhisper.blogspot.com
as we create a digital collage of how we envision
the wonderful things this New Year will bring!!

The images and quotes that I used for my digital collage
is everything I hope my New Year brings to me....
The Courage To Take Flight!

Now Is The Time...Take Flight!!!

 As 2015 approaches,
I wish for all Digital Dreamers everywhere,
a year FULL of  BIG surprises.
Be GENTLE with yourself but be
FIERCE with your TALENT and skill!.
Know your limit and then
PUSH hard to SURPASS it.
Use COLORS that SPEAK in
LOUD tones and SOFT whispers...
and in EVERYTHING you do!
May windows swing OPEN
when all doors are closed....

May you be BLESSED with CURIOSITY
and ALLOW it to ROMP freely
 in your IMAGINATION and DREAMS.
Always, always, always BE OPEN
to accept the limitless POSSIBILITIES
that LIFE holds for you!

Remember... TALENT is a VERB!
You will not KNOW you have WINGS
until you learn to FLY!
UNLEASH the ARTIST
and without looking down...
take FLIGHT and SOAR!

Dear friends, thanks so much for visiting my art blog!
