Black And White

This is my digital interpretation for the DW Challenge, Black and White!  I love this vintage photograph of Paris and used it for my background because the Eiffel Tower (my favorite image) is in the distance!

I am offering this famous photograph for free to use in your own art work or for those days when you wish you could take a walk through the busy streets of Paris!

Join us at Digital Whisper to add your art to this week's challenge! Don't miss out on all of the fun!

August So Artful Challenge!!!

So Artful Challenge/Theme: MAPS
The color palette for this challenge is pastel blue, pink, peach, and green!

This is my art piece for the August So Artful Challenge!

Even If I Have To Pawn My Jewels!

I tried to keep the images and embellishments
in the pastel colors requested for this challenge
until I found this beautiful painting
(at Wikipedia Commons) of Queen Isabella, I!

 I experimented with different pastel
colors to change the dark burgundy hues
of her dress but any editing I did just
kept washing out all of the color and
detail of her beautiful  face.

So I decided to leave her image, as is,
and hope that the pastel colors
in the rest of the piece will reflect
the color palette in this theme!

Thank you for this wonderful challenge!

Midsummers Eve Blog Hop Day One

Day One

What Is Digital Whisper????

A Community of Dedicated Loyal Artists
Who Make Their Art Come Alive
With Just A Whisper.

Digital Whisper is an extraordinary world created and set apart from the ordinary.
A place that exits through the eyes of imagination...
that looks inside the artist's mind finding the art before it's creation.
A  digital world where visions give birth to dreams that come true...
Where creativity is nurtured and passion grows
and follows the spirit where love for art flows.
So this is the beginning...this is the start...
to find where the secrets flow... look deep within your heart...
stay there and listen...wait for the whisper...
Listen for the whisper to call you by name.
Your beauty lies within your art...go now and create your life!
LISTEN TO THE WHISPER

Thank you for stopping by today and allowing me
to share my Midsummers Eve Art with you!

My Digital Whisper Art Work!

I wanted to share with you some
of the digital art work that I created
and recently posted on My Page at the
 Digital Whisper Ning Group!

I am so glad I became a member
of Digital Whisper Ning Group and have
been so motivated and inspired by the
beautiful talent and lovely art work that
is posted daily by the members in this group!

Now, I want to be more diligent in my
digital endeavors to add more techniques
that will improve my abilities as a digital artist!

I am not as overwhelmed by the aspect
of learning how each individual  tool
works and so hope one day I can create
with confidence the art of my dreams that,
 until now, I thought I couldn't create!

I am in total amazement when I stop to
consider how this technical world of ours
never stops teaching us new ways to digitally
 process our most imaginative quests!

Life is good...
Art is good...
learning and growing,
 without fear,
 to discover my true self
 is even better!

Have a great weekend creating and composing
the things that  fill you with peace and joy!
Hugs, Kymberly

I leave you with this...
I found these quotes by Eleanor Roosevelt
and thought I would pass them on to you!
 Good words to live by!

Life must be lived
and curiosity kept alive.
One must never,
for whatever reason,
turn his back on life.

  The future belongs to those
who believe in the
 beauty of their dreams.

You must do the things
you think you cannot do.

...Eleanor Roosevelt

Art Creations Friday Challenge

This week the theme for the
Art Creations Challenge
 is this lithograph of
the artist, Alphonse Mucha!

F. Champenois Imprimeur-Éditeur

Because Art Nouveau is one of my
favorite types of art to use
 when creating mixed media,
I wanted to provide some history
about this exceptionally talented artist!

Mucha produced a flurry of paintings, posters,
advertisements, and book illustrations,
as well as designs for jewellery, carpets, wallpaper,
and theatre sets in what was initially called the Mucha Style
but became known as Art Nouveau !

Mucha's works frequently featured
beautiful, strong young women in
flowing vaguely Neoclassical looking robes,
often surrounded by lush flowers which
sometimes formed haloes behind the women's heads.
.
The Art Nouveau style however,
was one that Mucha attempted to
distance himself from throughout his life;
he always insisted that rather than adhering
to any fashionable stylistic form,
his paintings came purely from within.

He became very frustrated when his fame grew
through the popularity of his commercial art
when he most wanted to concentrate on more
lofty projects that would ennoble art and his birthplace.

 Art exists
only to communicate
 a spiritual message,
 and nothing more!
---Alphonse Mucha

Now...to show you what I created for this challenge!!
This is my interpretation of this theme
 and of Mucha's lithograph!!

Thanks for coming by and looking at my entry!
 Have a wonderful day!!

So Artful Challenge

The Theme this Week
for the So Artful Challenge is
 "Fall Is In The Air"

Here in Tennessee,
we are having beautiful Fall weather!
It is still quite warm durung the day
but the nights are getting colder!!

I love this time of the year!
There is nothing like the
heady fragrance of an Autumn day!

Here is my entry for this challenge:

Can you imagine this little boy's anticipation
as his mother watches him while
she is working in her Fall garden!
She has had enough of his shenanigans
for one day and now he must sit
still and ponder his behavior before
he can go back outside to play!
Still, inspite of his naughty behavior,
he has one foot on the floor,
waiting until his mother thinks
 he has learned his lesson!!

Thanks for stopping by to take
a little peek at my art work!
 Please have a wonderful day!
Get out in the wonderful sunshine,
take a walk, smell the air,
think about how good your life is,
smile as you head back home,
quickly go through your front door,
and hug the one you love!!

Dear friends, thanks so much for visiting my art blog!
