Sunday Postcard Art Challenge

The Theme this Week was
"Time"

I thought of Albert Einstein's Theory of Relativity
and decided that it would be the perfect for this challenge!
I wanted to show, through a  piece of altered art,
what would happen  if  time could stand still!
(Of course, this is only if Einstein was correct in his calculations)

So here is the question?
If time stood still long enough,
what part of myself would I meet first?

The Theme for this Week's
SoArtful Challenge is:

 " The Little Black Dress"

When you hears the words
"little black dress"
there's only one person to think of,
Mon Cher,
CoCo Chanel!

Art Creations Friday Challenge

The Theme
 for this week's
Arts Creations Friday Challenge
was an image of this adorable little girl
plus a  background that had been
altered and painted in the colors
of gray, white, and slate blue!
I love these colors together so
I was really excited to start this project!
I thought of her as a little girl
sneaking off, no matter the weather,
 to check on her
Secret Garden to make sure
that her "little flower friends "
were all well and happy!

Title:
My Secret Garden!

I hope you will like veiwing her as
much as I liked making her!

Art Creations Friday Challenge

Art Creations Friday Challenge

I used a vintage image of a sweet little girl
then added faeries dancing around the flower
and one dancing in her hands!
I think she  looks as enchanted as they do!

So Artful Challenge

The Theme for this week's
So Artful Challenge is "Chance"!

I know that my entry really doesn't fit
in with the theme for this week
but when I saw the ticket collage,
this popped in my mind immediately!

While I was creating "Time Traveler, I was wondering
what  "chance"  a person would be taking if he/she
crossed over the  Threshold of Time and changed
 a  circumstance in his/her  life!

Would we  benefit from a "second chance" to go back and
right the wrongs of our lives or would we forever
alter someone else's life?

Chances are, we would no more benefit the second time
around as we did the first! I truly believe that what is
meant to be is meant to be and nothing can change
the Hands of Time!

but if we could ...would we take the chance?

So Artful Challenge

The Theme for the So Artful Challenge is "Roses"!

Jeanette,  I really went "Rose Crazy" this week!
I got out all of my clip art to start
making my entry but kept finding
more and more "rosey and lacey"
clip art that I wanted to use!
Since I couldn't stop at just one,
I  kept  going with this theme
until I had 5 in total!

This was the first One
I finished and so  I decided it
would be my Entry for the
Roses Challenge
and the rest would post nicely as
 "eye candy"
for my nice visitors!

The scanner really did not do this piece justice
so I hope you can see the detail of the beads
that are wrapped around the dried rose!

My daughters picked that rose for me back
in the fall and I let it dry out and kept it,
knowing that I would want to use it later on!
I think it really worked well with the image that Jeanette provided this week!

Eye Candy!!

Tthe next three are the ones that I made just for fun!

I hope you enjoyed looking at my art work today and I want to thank you for visiting mysite!
Have a great weekend!

P.S.
Thank you Jeanette, you really inspired me this week!

Theme Thursday!

Theme Thurday

This is my
Entry
for the
Theme:

 Flight!

Aren't there times
where you feel that you must battle
your way through every
minute of the hour, day, week, month , and year?

Take Courage!
We've all had our ups and downs
and battles that we either won or lost!
We are in this together!

So...
(to stay inspired and strong)!
I am going to frame this and hang it in my bedroom
so that it will be the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning
and the last thing I see before going to sleep at night!

It will remind me to fight
for what I believe is to be right, good and true!

It will empower me to understand
that I have more strength inside  my soul
than ever could  be imagined!

It will inspire me to take action in my life
and change what is not working
for everything that is!

             P. S.  I wrote a full-length poem for this entry but I  couldn't use the complete version on the collage due to space constraints!  I really wanted to share the full version with you so I have included it in with this post!  Feel free to copy it and use it in your own art work or to keep close by for reassurance on those days when  life has thrown you into a battle that you aren't certain you can win!

Flight

O, Woman,
Stand Straight!
Stand Tall!

 Go Forth!
 Even though ye be
 filled with woes

O, Warriar!
   Be Brave!
  Be True!

      The Battle is Fierce,
      Where the Heart beats
       Strong within thy Soul!

       O Woman,
        Go Forth!
         Good Courage to Thee!
           Release Thy Fate!

         Take Flight
      And
       Soar!

Thank you for visiting my site
and viewing  my entry!

May you have a blessed week,
filled with much happiness
and a heart overflowing with joy!

Hugs,
Kym

TAG TUESDAY

The  Theme
for this week's
Tag Tuesday
 is
 "Happy New Year!"

I got a bit carried away with this challenge!
It was more like a project rather than an entry but the results were worth it!!

During the holidays, I saw quite a few tags that several talented artists had made as gift items for their friends and family.  The unique factor? These tags were made with their own "customized tag holder"!
Of course, I thought this was a great idea...such a creative way to present a gift tag...and ...how do I make it?!!!
When I found this picture of these
"Lovely Usherettes"
from the early Picture House Days,
my entry just naturally evolved into a tag-tagholder  project!

TAG/TAG HOLDER

"Usher In the New Year"

TAG

"With a smile on your lips and a song in your heart"

TAG HOLDER

I hope you enjoyed seeing my entry as much as I loved making it!
Thank you for visiting my site and I hope your New Year
is filled "to the brim" with many abundant blessings!
Have a great time this week creating what you love!

I hope you enjoy my "X-Mas Cuties" as much as I enjoyed making them!
May you receive many wonderful blessings in the New Year!
